Cayman Islands’ Raven McTaggart was crowned Miss Global International on Saturday evening at Hotel Indigo, which hosted the 21st annual competition.

Miss Global International is an international beauty and tourism pageant for women aged 18-35, including mothers, that has been running since 2004. Operating under the motto “Uniting the World through Beauty and Tourism,” the competition has been held in various regions worldwide and aims to empower contestants as ambassadors of beauty, intelligence, and charity.

Her Excellency, Governor Jane Owen, hosted contestants at Government House for a special reception ahead of the competition. Governor Owen welcomed delegates from around the world at the tea reception, noting that the pageant brought together contestants to promote cultural exchange and empowerment under its theme of uniting the world through beauty and tourism.

This year’s event marks the second time the Cayman Islands has hosted the pageant, which aims to foster participants’ growth as individuals and leaders while enhancing international brand awareness.

Governor Owen extended congratulations to McTaggart and all contestants for their participation and representation of their respective countries.
