The Miss Global International Beauty Pageant is celebrating 20 years of its existence after hosting the event in various countries around the world. With an attempt to create greater international brand awareness, we plan to host the event at a date and time to be announced.
The pageant founder, Lachu Ramchandani, started the pageant in 2004, after hosting, directing, and coordinating various pageants such as Miss Cornwall Jamaica, Miss Commonwealth Jamaica, Miss Festival Queen. He embarked on this passion project of his own and decided to add to the local landscape and economy of the pageant events by also developing both the local and international stages of the event.
He started with a national pageant, recruiting beautiful, intelligent ladies from all over Jamaica to compete. The winner would then represent Jamaica in the finals against chosen representatives from other countries since, at the time, only a few other countries had been assigned their own directors. It was not long after, that Lachu’s fame and international recognition through his hard work, allowed for tremendous growth with the pageant.
As of 2024 , we are targeting over 30 participating countries and Directors from Latin America, Africa, Middle East, Far East and Caribbean just to name a few, have jumped at the opportunity to host this pageant knowing how well it will benefit their country with/in regards to tourism.
The last show hosted by Lachu Ramchandani and his beautiful daughter Neelam who produced the show and took it to the highest level since its conception was a huge success and with her at the helm Miss Global flag will continue to fly high.
Miss Global International 2023 was held in September in Jamaica at at the Montego Bay Convention Centre and Trinidad & Tobago cop the title.
The pageant runs under the motto of “Uniting the World through Beauty and Tourism” and has since its birth, been able to increase the number of visitors to the beautiful island of Jamaica. The pageant is endorsed by the Jamaica Tourist Board
