Neha Karina Dawar, Creative Director and Fashion Designer represents her Indian heritage roots in her fine designs. She graduated in Performing Arts, BFA in Fashion design from CAFD with major in various short courses for fashion. From the childhood, Neha always had a passion for designing her own theater performing outfits and will be asked where she got it little did they know, she designed it.
Neha is a Kathak dancer trained In Jaipur Gharana under Vidha Lal. She is also Actress, Model and Talent. With her profession and experience in Fashion and Pageantry comes along a preservation of culture and Arts in the Caribbean.
Neha’s deep love for Fashion, Arts and the Caribbean culture and her family ties in India, created a balance between her aesthetic of merging the Caribbean meets Indian/middle eastern.
Neha Designs reflects a vision for Caribbean-Indian luxury fashion. She was introduced to designers from Middle Eastern and India region and she did not take much time in cultivating her aesthetic following short courses in Embroidery, Styling, Color Theory and Brand Development in India. In July 2015 Neha developed the brand “Neha Karina” being the first in the Caribbean to manufacture “Indian Couture Clothing” locally within shores of Trinidad and Tobago, being the first to set up indian manufacturing for indian garments in th Caribbeean and later on opened its first flagship store at Hilton Trinidad. Neha Karina uses handloom textile to translate her designs into the Royal “Look”, predominantly evident In bridal wear as well as her ready to wear line.
Having her brand for 7 years, Neha has always aligned herself for International womens day for her women empowering women campaign, where she highlighted various working women in society with stories.
Neha has done many trade shows, and acquired International and national shows. She has also worked in the Media industry for over 10 years.
Karina, is also the National Director for the Miss Global International for Trinidad and Tobago as well as Miss, Mrs, Teen India worldwide Pageant for Trinidad and Tobago,
NK is known for traditional elements and styling and an International Flair.
